AutoGauge AI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the AutoGauge mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
By using AutoGauge, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.Car Scan Data
When you use the App to scan a car listing or upload car photos, we collect:
- Listing URLs you submit (from Facebook Marketplace)
- Photos you upload for analysis
- Car details such as year, make, model, mileage, and asking price
- Scan results including valuations, flip scores, and condition reports
This data is used to provide you with analysis results and is stored so you can access your scan history.Usage Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data such as:
- Which screens you visit
- When you start or complete a scan
- Whether you viewed the paywall
- General app usage patterns
This data helps us improve the App and does not include personally identifiable information.Subscription Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card number, billing address, or any payment details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider.How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide car analysis, valuations, and flip scores
- Maintain your scan history
- Manage your account and subscription
- Improve the App based on usage patterns

Third-Party Services

Photos you upload are sent to Google Gemini for AI analysis. We do not sell your photos or personal data to any third party.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway (cloud infrastructure) and Supabase (authentication). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and authenticate all API requests with JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
Data Retention
- Account data is retained until you delete your account.
- Scan history is retained until you delete it or delete your account.
- Analytics data is anonymized and retained for up to 12 months.
Your Rights
You can:
- View your data through the App (scan history, account info)
- Delete your scan history in Settings > Clear Scan History
- Delete your account in Settings > Delete Account — this permanently removes your account and all associated data

Children's Privacy
AutoGauge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date above.
